  • Each awardee receives a gold medal, citation, and USD 1 lakh (approx. ₹88 lakh).

Life Sciences – Dr. Anjana Badrinarayanan (Bengaluru)

  • Associate Professor, National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS).
  • Recognized for her research on DNA repair and genome integrity.
  • Developed microfluidics-based live-cell microscopy to visualize chromosome dynamics in real time.

 Humanities & Social Sciences – Dr. Andrew Ollett

  • Associate Professor, University of Chicago.
  • A leading scholar of Prakrit languages and Kannada poetics.
  • His book “Language of the Snakes” explores the interaction between Prakrit, Sanskrit, and Indian vernaculars.

Economics – Dr. Nikhil Agarwal

  • Professor, MIT (USA).
  • Known for research on markets without prices, including school choice, medical residency, and kidney exchange systems.
  • Pioneered empirical models improving efficiency and equity in allocation mechanisms.

Mathematical Sciences – Dr. Sabyasachi Mukherjee

  • Associate Professor, TIFR Mumbai.
  • Work on conformal dynamics and algebraic correspondences has redefined understanding of Riemann surface dynamics.

Engineering & Computer Science – Dr. Sushant Sachdeva

  • Associate Professor, University of Toronto.
  • Develops high-speed optimization algorithms with applications in healthcare and transport.
  • Praised for solving long-standing open problems in algorithmic theory.

Physical Sciences – Dr. Karthish Manthiram

  • Professor, Caltech (USA); trained under Nobel laureate Robert Grubbs.
  • Research spans electrochemistry, catalysis, and sustainability.
