Default Loss Guarantees (DLGs): Contractual arrangement between a Regulated Entity (RE) and an eligible third party, where third party guarantees compensation for loss due to borrower default to RE+ Cap on DLG: RE to ensure that total amount of DLG cover on any outstanding portfolio (specified upfront) shall not exceed 5% of the amount of that loan portfolio+ Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has restored use of DLGs for Non-banking finance companies (NBFC), who can now factor in DLGs when setting aside buffers for potential loan losses
Cheer Pheasant(Catreus wallichii): Hunting and habitat degradation continue to be the primary drivers of population decline in Cheer pheasant+ Habitat: Mainly found in mid-montane grassland of western Himalayas across its global range (Pakistan, India, and Nepal)+“Cheer” refers to the birds’ occurrence near Chir Pine forests and “Pheasant” means a member of the game-bird family which mostly include ground dwelling birds+ Conservation Status: IUCN (Vulnerable); CITES (Appendix I); Wildlife Protection Act (WPA), 1972 (Schedule I)
