TRANSLATION

Better way : A king tried to end his life in a pond , where a Female duck lived happily.

Not so better ways : A king came to die in a pond where a duck Female was living very happily.

Point to note :

  • The word “lived” signifies duck was still there, whereas “was living” says duck was at the place in past. So a correct tense form of a word is more important.
  • Remember to keep the sentence simple

Better way : Questioning about his decision ,the duck stopped him and said that it was happy in the pond, being a king why is he doing this.

Not so better ways : The dick stopped the king . It said to him “ Committing suicide is a sin. Look at me, I am living in this pond so happily. You look like a king , why are you doing this.”

Point to note :  Translating each word is not advisable. Understand the sentence , and convey to reader your understanding in a simple manner.

Better way : The king explained his decision was due to bad state caused by famine which has led to bankruptcy. He said “There is no money to have an army to defend from enemy”.

Not so better ways : The king said ” There is Famine. Citizens have not paid tax. There is no food in palace. I dont have money to pay to soldiers. It is better to die”

Better way : The duck offered to help him  by providing the grains it had stored in form of loan

Not so better ways : The duck said “I have stored grains. Tell me how much you want, i will give u loan”

Better way : The king accepted the help and said he would shift grains to palace in carts. Questioning this duck asked when would he return the loan, for which king said “it has rained now, and agriculture has just begun and in another 4 months there would be harvest” and promised the duck to repay its loan with interest. Thus duck offered the grains

Not so better ways : The king said “Where is it show me. I will take it palace in carts” for which duck replied ” When will you return the loan” so king said ” it has rained just now, farmers are sowing seeds, in four months we will get harvest, I will return your loan with interest” and he promised, for which duck gave him loan.
